Boehner's refusal to allow the President to speak a historic first

Never in our nation's history has a Speaker of the House refused a request by the president to address Congress. Picture perfect proof that the GOP will always put their party and politics ahead of the good of our nation.

We've been subjected to a lot of historic firsts by the rightwing about President Obama. "You lie", a debt ceiling fiasco, countless needed positions in the administration not filled after 2 1/2 years, judicial benches sitting empty, obstruction has gotten a whole new meaning under the House hostage takers.

I just look at it as the fools look foolish and there stands President Obama with the will and the guts to go on, they will never bring him down to their level.

Well said. Don't forget that Mitch McConnell said his purpose is to ensure that President Obama serves only one term. The Republicans are assholes, IMO.
