Classic GOP dishonesty
Republicans have warned they will resist any new spending measures to push the economy forward, warning they do not want to add to the deficit.

House Republicans have announced a fall agenda focused on two tax-cutting measures

So the GOP counts on the American people being too stupid to see the most obvious lies in history. The GOP wants to give their billionaire owners and billion dollar corporate sponsors huge deficit creating tax cuts, but they don't want to help the American people get a job.

RE: Classic GOP dishonesty
I think people are realizing that it costs money to have the things they want....like jobs and FEMA and security. The pubs will have to do something and cutting everything won't be the answer.

The public would be better served if the reporters wrote the article accurately. In this case it would read:

Republicans have warned they will resist any new spending measures to push the economy forward, warning they do not want to add to the deficit. House Republicans have announced a fall agenda focused on two deficit raising tax-cutting measures

Are there still real reporters? I am beginning to wonder where they went.

RE: Classic GOP dishonesty
The Republicans are waaay past beating that "Tax cuts for billionaires and corporations" horse to death, even people marginally aware of the political process are starting to take notice that it's a bullshit meme and not working.

Even voters dimly aware of the politics behind the Republican rhetoric realize that more tax cuts for the wealthy are being paid for by people that work for a living.

If tax cuts for the wealthiest individuals and corporations stimulate those entities to create jobs, why hasn't it ever worked, and in fact, had the opposite effect for the last ten years specifically, and thirty years now in general?

Damn straight! Those tax cuts were in effect whilst we were losing 700,000 jobs a month!

RE: Classic GOP dishonesty
"Tax cuts" and "spending" are the same thing. Republicans have been allowed to get away with this obfuscation for decades. Not even Democratic leaders stand up and call them on it.

So, yeah, they do think the American people are that stupid because close to half of them have been all along.
