They are not serious, they don't want to put military and Pentagon budgets on the table.....I had this discussion with Republican coworkers...you know what they said? We need the bloated budget to keep America safe? But then I said, but you said cutting the budget was important?.......around and around we went...

The vast majority of voters who don't read whining bloggers will see this.
This is a point I was trying to make earlier. Obama knows what he's doing. He knows this is just a game to the Repukes. How smart is he for throwing the SS and Medicare stuff in? I'd say pretty damn smart because the Pukes have nothing now to run home and slam Obama with.
Well, they will to those who won't watch or listen to the President but as you said, the vast majority will now know it was never about SS or Medicare to the Pukes.

RE: Obama press conference on negotiations with House GOP
Unfortunately I missed the presser live because I was outside putting something together but I'm watching clips on MSNBC (and ignoring the BS talking heads and their opinions). He (POTUS) was really pissed off!!

"They want to give people like me a two hundred thousand dollar tax cut that’s paid for by asking thirty three seniors to each pay six thousand dollars more in health costs? That’s not right, and it’s not going to happen as long as I’m President." Barack Obama

Translation of Obama asked for more tax hikes = letting Bush taxcuts expire for the rich and closing loopholes on big business.

Boehner couldn't return Obama's phone call last night at 10pm. Why?

Have to give Boner a break on that one... it's really hard to answer a phone when you're passed out drunk.
