House Republicans looking like dim bulbs

This is painfully stupid.

Republicans want to repeal new standards for energy efficient light bulbs. The law they want to repeal was originally written by a Republican and passed by Bush. But, these are the days of the tea party when Republicans are in a competition to see who can sound the most batshit crazy.

In a study released last week, the group said that replacing inefficient old bulbs with new units would eliminate the need for 33 large power plants, lowering electricity costs and harmful pollution.

This saves people money and helps the environment. And here come the Tea Party Republicans defending everyone's right to be a moron no matter what the big gubment boogie man says.
