Screwy The Stupidity that is the professional left
This article really drove the point home. I just hope their stupidity and self destructiveness doesn't do as much damage to our nation than the Republicans/Tea Baggers have wrought.

The article was entitled

Obama Ready to Go Big on Budget Deal?

The rank stupidity was demonstrated by this paragraph:

A friend emails a question about all this: "Obama can survive 2012 without my vote and even with my working actively for his GOP opponent, which I will do if he does this, suicidal as it may be. But do you think he can survive, can the Democratic Party survive, if he actually does this?"

The stupidity knows no bounds. How many times will they do the same routine - hear rumor/read unsubstantiated article about PO doing something terrible; freak out. Then, when it doesn't happen, crickets, or they parse it to make it seem like the president did cave.

I'm so tired of it. I truly believe it's one of the big reasons why the Rs took the House in 2010.

I agree. Far to many people fly of the handle when they hear "rumors", and the never bother to find out the facts, or get any "real" information on things. The right wing uses "rumors" and lies to help them "sway" peoples views, and sadly far, far to many on the left are willing to buy into the right wing spin!

I had this conversation last night on Facebook. Told someone who posted a Washington Post article about how SS and Medicare are "on the table", so of course everybody was freaking out. I said, why don't we wait to see some concrete facts instead of doing the Chicken Little act.

I had someone tell me that firing police, firefighters, and teachers is a sure sign we're headed straight into socialism.

Yes, she said that.

Some just can't wait for "facts" they are to ready to attack the president because their favorite issues have not been put on top of the presidents priority list! They fail to see al lhe 'has" accomplished and only dwell on the negative, and sadly they buy into the right wing spin on things without getting all the facts!

Because working to elect a GOP candidate will not place us in a similar crisis that someone has to fix, later by "capitulating"?

I suspect like most of the professional left they have already been actively working to help get the GOP elected.

The infiltration has been successful I guess. It's hitting at the city level now too... I've seen several local politicians run and win on a Dem ticket, then turn around and vote straight GOP on all issues.

They have nothing. All they can do is try to marginalize Dems and speak in bumper sticker sound bites.

They mistakenly believe that voting Obama out hurts Obama more than it hurts themselves. I've got news for them - Obama will do just fine one way or the other. Hell, given all the shit that's been tossed his way, he might well be better off if he weren't re-elected.

On other hand, we might have to deal with President Michelle Bachmann.

How, exactly, does that benefit anyone?

Teabaggers have nothing on the Professional Whining Suckers ..they'll both cut off their air supply to show that President Obama how pathetically dumb they can really be.

Who was it? Someone around here I think... someone said the smartest thing Obama could do would be to speak out in favor of breathing... and the GOP would hold their breath. Worth a try?

RE: The Stupidity that is the professional left
What gets to me is that they obviously don't read to the end of the store, but immediately fly off the handle. I think that being outraged is a huge turn-on for them. Change in the real world is incremental; nothing can be achieved overnight. And President Obama is not the king or emperor, though some think he should act that way. It just isn't possible, especially with Republicans having the House. And I place the blame for that squarely on those people who stayed home from the polls last November to "punish" Obama. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It's all talk.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

It is all talk, but it's mean and vicious talk. What used to be skirted around is now thrown out there so the like minded can add to the fray. Openly saying third party, go join a marxist group, I will not vote for Obama, I always vote third party, Obama is a repub. Open warfare is wanted and they are goading for all they're worth......which ain't a tinkers damn!

RE: The Stupidity that is the professional left
I'm convinced that the condition I've come to think of as "Blog Panic" is uncurable. The "freak-out" process in the left blogosphere seems to be more important than the seeking out of facts. That said, for the very first time during Obama's presidency, I am a little nervous about what I've been hearing is going on in the negotiations. First of all, those Republican fuckheads (excuse my French) don't have a damn legitimate leg to stand on, but I digress. I seriously hope Pres. Obama does not underestimate the depth of the Democratic rage, and certainly the drama rage of the professional left, if actual Medicare or Social Security benefits are cut in this charade of a process.
