Self-proclaimed rodeo clown, patriot extraordinaire, and Official Crybaby of the Far Right Glenn Beck is – oh, sweet Jesus – once again claiming to have something to cry about.

Describing his family’s attendance at an outdoor showing of Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps in Bryant Park on Monday night as a “hostile situation”, Beck claims that he, his wife and daughter were greeted by a man yelling, “We hate conservatives here!”

Well, first off, I don’t believe a word Beck says. That’s because Beck is a well known liar. That’s also because the average, more-than-likely liberal-minded New Yorker would never be that polite to Glenn Beck – not to mention being that short on words. Had this tale been told to include a phrase like, “We hate fuckin’ racist idiots here, and that means you, ya dumb fuck” or “We ain’t got no patience for shit-spewing jerks, and you can shove that blackboard of yours up your ass” I might have accepted Beck’s version of events.

But a simple “we hate conservatives here” just doesn’t ring true.

I have no doubt that Beck is “greeted” by all kinds of unpleasantness whenever he attends an event where decent people might congregate. That’s a given. But to whine over it as though it isn’t warranted is. well, as I said, he IS the Official Crybaby and as such, has certain duties to perform.

Said Beck:  “I apologize to anybody who had their movie experience wrecked because of the people that found it so necessary to spew hatred.  But there's nothing I can do about it.”

Well, you’ve been spewing hatred for years now, Glenn – and there IS something that can be done about it. And decent people did it. And that’s why your TV show is history, along with what’s left of your career.

So if the STFU fits, Mr. Beck…

Apparently Chris Wallace has apologized for asking Michele Bachman if she is indeed “a flake”. While I am admittedly not a fan of Chris Wallace, I feel compelled to take his side in this matter. I believe that asking Ms. Bachman if she is “a flake” – as though it were still an open question, somehow yet unanswered in light of her consistently obvious flakitude – is as gentlemanly a gesture as one sees nowadays.

Mr. Wallace’s query was posed in spite of the widely accepted acknowledgement (a bipartisan viewpoint, I might add)  that Ms. Bachman lacks even a modicum of intellect, perhaps in a sincere effort to afford the lady one last chance to say something intelligent on her own behalf.

She didn’t.  She couldn’t.  She doesn’t know how.

That’s because she’s A FLAKE.

So if the STFU fits, Ms. Bachman…

In the aftermath of New York legalizing same-sex marriages, televangelist Pat Robertson warned the nation that gay marriage will bring down the wrath of God.

(Completely off topic, but do televangelists follow the word of the TeleGod? And is a TeleTubbie a manifestation of said TeleGod? Just wonderin’…)

Yes, yes, yes, o anointed one, God is out to git those people who love each other and vow to stand by each other in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, as long as they both shall live, forsaking all others – yadda, yadda – if they are not male-female pairings.

God only smiles on heterosexual marriages – and when such unions, sanctified by Church as well as State – end in messy, no-holds-barred, drag-out divorces that destroy the lives of the innocent children of such unions, well, that’s just another case of the Lord workin’ in mysterious ways.

Honest to God, I can’t remember a time when Pat Robertson failed to earn a STFU on a regular basis. And I suspect it’s a very Powerful Being who issues that STFU, with a facepalm, an OMG! and a WTF? as is deemed divinely appropriate.

So if the STFU fits, Reverend Roberston … and a word to the wise:  I wouldn’t argue with a STFU from The Lord, if I were you.  Just sayin'...

I got a FU for Pat Robertson..that's all his level of sanity can understand.

Chris Wallace finally got it right when he asked Bachmann if she were a Flake. Sweet karma getting it out there on fox propaganda network. The one question he won't be asking is.."are you a toady for the Koch Corporate Evil Empire?" But, alas..Ms Bachmann "is serious because she's a lawyer". I'm not even going to ask where she got a degree from and why she doesn't know history..especially where that "white supremist John Wayne" was born.

I never cease to be amazed at the likes of Glenn Beck. He spews hate for a living and is shocked (and quite the victim) should someone pass him a plate of what he's been dishing out for years. And Pat Robertson! In my mind he is more evidence of there being no God......but that aside, brilliantly phrased Nance. This moron is certain we're to fear bible-god's wrath because of people loving one another. The stupid on that one is painful. I should think we'd all agree that love is never a "sin", only the lack of it--but I guess not.

I'm still waiting for Robertson's take on the sanctity of marriage as demonstrated by their Republican movie star, Oberstürmbahnführer Schwarzenegger.

As for asking Bachmann if she is a flake. I can understand her not wanting to be confronted with the question outright on National TV. Wallace never asked Tom DeLay if he was a crook, never asked Bernie Madoff if he was a master swindler, never asked Schwarzenegger if he was a cheating husband. Why should he pick on Bachmann to ask her if she is a flake, even if the true answer would have been the same answer as to the other three questions?

I'm waiting for Wallace to ask one of the Republican contenders for the open (in 2012) Arizona Senate seat if HE is a flake. His name, after all, is (appropriately enough) Jeff Flake.
