I still read real books printed on paper too!

Me too azmouse. I know what you mean by the simple life. I don't own a cell phone. Originally because we had no signal around here until only a few months ago, but I've gone this long w/out one, so why bother now? (I am considering possibly buying one of those cheap track (sp?) phones for roadside emergencies)
Oh and even more shocking (horrors!) I was computer-less at home here for over 3 yrs. All we had was dial-up, so after my old Gateway PC crapped out for good sometime in 06 or 07, I just didn't bother replacing it until DSL arrived last year.
During that computer dry-period, I mostly communicated w/friends and family members the old fashioned way-via landline or snail-mail. Now, it's pretty much all e-mail and some FB- I had to be talked into joining, and even then, it took me months before I posted a pic (something my daughter uploaded for me) or did anything other then 'like' something.
Funny how SO much has changed in such a short time. My daughter, like most of her generation would probably be lost w/out all of her tech-stuff, but when I think back to 85 when she was born, I remember renting VCR's, rabbit-eared tv's still common, turn-tables still in use, and not knowing that one should NOT try to re-heat a piece of chicken in the microwave for more then 5 minutes, lol! Ick - chicken flavored gum!
Sorry to have rambled- um again.
I hope the removal of your sand filter tank went as smoothly as possible despite the closet issue Pat, and it's really
good to know that those fires have been contained!
BTW, this might come off as well, a dumb question, but curiosity has gotten the best of me- What does the sand filter tank do, exactly?
I see from your profile that something like this is probably an important appliance in your area, but (gosh I feel foolish for asking) what does it filter sand from? ie... sand in the water, the air or carpeting maybe?
