I saw it (and Mauna Loa) in summer and both had snow. It was 80-some degrees at sea level, but those are tall mountains. It seemed odd to me.

thank you, Eponine! it is beautiful when it snows, isn't it? i love the contrast of the black volcanic ground and the snow!

on both in the summer? that is very rare!
may i ask around what year that was? maybe climate change is changing that too Shrug
