Flip-flopping is bad; lying is worse
>snip<
Team Huntsman would have voters believe that the former Utah governor, unlike President Obama and Mitt Romney, has no use for individual health care mandates, as reflected by his 2008 reform measure at the state level. But as the Huffington Post reports, there’s reason to believe Huntsman may be playing fast and loose with the facts.
One month before the 2004 election, Huntsman invited [Dr. David Sundwall, who was executive director of Utah’s Department of Health] to his home to ask him to join his administration if he won the gubernatorial race. Sundwall said in an interview this week that he asked Huntsman what he wanted to do.
“He said, ‘I’d like everyone in Utah to have health insurance. It’s something that all of us long for. This business of the uninsured costs us a lot of money,’” Sundwall said. “It made sense to me.”

RE: "Political whiplash: Huntsman scrambles to the right"
They believe in nothing. They are pathetic that they go against their own moral beleifs for power.

RE: "Political whiplash: Huntsman scrambles to the right"
As a Utahn, it's a farce Huntsman is trying to brand himself a conservative.
Utah is very right-wing, so you know when you're dealing with a conservative elected official. Huntsman was never conservative. He was big on global warming, pushed civil unions and generally oversaw the advancement of a pretty moderate legislative season. He was often the voice of reason when it came to the very conservative state legislature.

I find that curiously comforting. With Daniels out and the silly season officially over with three realistic candidates, my biggest worry is what would happen if we should lose next year.
I worry less with someone who has a history of rationality even if he does have to hand the teabaggers a line of bullshit. I can accept the slightly larger risk of losing the White House compared to the unacceptable risk of losing it to a nutcase.

RE: "Political whiplash: Huntsman scrambles to the right"
Allegedly Pres O's team feared Huntsman above all. Well that must be the pre-flip-fllopping moderate who disappeared and what emerged was a candidate more than happy to kowtow to the teabagging loons. When he embraced the Ryan Budget he became just another clown in the GOP Clown Car of Candidates.
