Teen Who Challenged Bachmann To Debate Receiving Threats

A New Jersey teenager says she's received threats since challenging U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann to a debate over the Constitution.

Ann Myers challenged the tea party favorite in a letter dated April 29. After it started getting media attention last weekend, commenters on tea party websites have threatened to publish her home address and some have threatened violence.

The 16-year-old from Cherry Hill says several commenters have called her a "whore."

Her father, Wayne, says he's concerned for his daughter's safety.

Not surprising. This is how the conservative talk radio cult react to most any threat. In this case, they see a young person they think they can get away with bullying. It's a movement fueled by anger that attracts people of questionable mental stability. It's a bunch of insecure, small-dicked sociopaths picking on a teenage girl. I hope she uses the cyber-stalking and harassment laws recently passed in many states to prosecute the worst of them. They need to be taught a lesson.

Ignorant people always get angry when their heroes or belief system is challenged by a person of intellect, it's just that this time the person doing the challenging is a child.

In my personal experience, the people that champion the Constitution the loudest understand it the least, except for two amendments.

Bachmann should step in and tell the idiots to lay off the kid. After all, she is a mother and has had numerous kids living with them....moms don't beat up on kids or let anybody else by with it either. The congresswoman is showing her true colors, and they aren't pretty.

Yeah, I can't imagine why any decent human being wouldn't step in and invite the teen to personally debate her. It would actually help her politically.

Last I saw, she hadn't even acknowledged the invitation unless we consider her "representatives" now threatening and insulting a teenager for being intelligent, confident, and motivated to be her response.
