There's a special election for a seat in the NH House today, and it is expected to be a close contest. The Republicans have decided to take things to the next level. A sign on the door of the polling place in the community of New Boston reads thus:
“Per
pending legislation you will be required to produce a photo ID in order to receive a ballot.”
In other words, a bill that is not yet law says you need an ID, so you need an ID.
I hope someone introduces a bill requiring voters to sing the second verse of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" before receiving a ballot. Hey, pending legislation, after all.
