Ron Paul: 'The time is right' for presidential run

===

A CNN/Opinion Research poll last week showed him running stronger against President Barack Obama than any other GOP candidate.

And unlike last time, when Paul was relegated to fringe media coverage for much of the race, he's now attracting widespread attention. With Paul receiving some credit for kick-starting the tea party movement — sometimes called its "godfather" — and keeping up his longtime push to audit the Federal Reserve, it would seem that the decades he's spent beating the libertarian drum have reached an apex.

Yeah, Im sure they'll love his ideas to get rid of the department of education, against the 1964 civil rights act and against getting Bin Laden.

I consider being a founder of the racist tea party movement to be a huge negative. I think he is going to find it hurts far more than it helps.

Or legalizing heroin because no one would do it if it was legal.

I can't wait to see all the RW Christians defend legalizing heroin and prostitution.

Paul himself manages to combine the worst aspects of laissez faire conservatism, self-centered permissiveness, Texas-style bigotry, and crackpot paranoia. His supporters manage to make it even worse. They are a downright scary bunch of zealots for whom the facts are an inconvenience to be brushed aside with "oh, that's what they WANT you to believe". They're a bunch of intellectually stunted 15 year olds masquerading as adults.

RE: Ron Paul: 'The time is right' for presidential run
I had a run in with a ron paul zealot right after Obama won..right in the store where I worked! You could tell right off the bat she was full of all kinds of crazy lies and shit about the Obamas. She had the stupidity to call Michelle a hypocrite because she had an Organic garden. All I said was that I loved Obama and was glad he was President while she huffed and puffed and fumed her way out of the co-op after she bought her stuff. I didn't see her for months after that but then she came back and acted like nothing happened(she kept her mouth shut about Ron Paul said this and that) so we got along because I worked there and she wanted what we had.

When bush sleezed in I never said anything to the idiot bushits around in the county that went for mcpalin 55% although one did write all over a cartoon that my new friend at the time had left on my counter space. It was about Iraq and said something about "Are we there yet?" And, she(this was a volunteer at the store who's all religiousy but a freakin' bi^^h) wrote all over the 'toon with a sharpie.. "The Adults are in charge now!" Undecided roflmao

Seems to me that these types who go for the ron pauls and the gw bushes are all religiously pushy hypocrites.
