Why anyone would take this guy seriously for a presidential candidate is beyond belief.

Not really.
The colors on the flag don't technically have any specific symbolic meaning. Many people will apply their own meanings. Some of these are complete fabrications that made it into poorly researched history and civics books. Others are borne of confusion with the Great Seal symbolism
The colors of the Great Seal are similar to the colors of the flag and do have meaning. The white stands for purity. The red stands for courage. The blue stands for justice.

His Rancho PV neighbors don't care much for him at all. I think he bought that land from my former employer.
In Rancho Palos Verdes and Palos Verdes Estates (which is the far more upper crusty of the two) you have to build a mock structure before you build to be sure you aren't blocking the view for a neighbor. It's my understanding that the flag blocks views, as well as makes a hell of a lot of noise.
The size of your flag doesn't matter... clearly he has no clue what it stands for anyway.
How do these idiots float to the top? Makes me furious!
