I'm sorta tuning out the bin Laden blather out in the world.
Are people (other than bin Laden sympathizers) actually trying to criticize the operation because bin Laden was unarmed?
My understanding, based on one of the stories I have read which of course could change any day now, is that the soldiers had orders to accept surrender if offered and to use deadly force if necessary. It was apparently not offered, and people were shooting at them. I'm not going to second-guess that for even a millisecond. This is clearly in keeping with the laws of war and even some law enforcement situations.
Is there a real complaint here, or just some attempt to make shit up?
