President Obama to visit Ground Zero

(CNN) - President Barack Obama will travel to New York City on Thursday to visit ground zero and meet with families of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, a senior White House official told CNN on Monday.

I guess this will be his mission accomplished moment. Well at least he waited until he actually accomplished the mission, rather than the clown before him.

I think he will go there as comforter in chief. The families and friends and people of NYC deserve to have some closure and OBL's death signals some ending to the story of 911.

that is a beautiful thought and image, jaxx. he seems to often be comforting people, and they are very clearly moved by him - often to tears. i can't wait to see them feeling his obviously passionate caring.

yes, they really do deserve any relief possible. watching the people in NYC on sunday night, it was evident it was entirely visceral, just a spontaneous reaction pouring out!
