It didn't take Donald Trump long to respond to the comment by White House adviser David Plouffe that he has "zero chance" to be president and that his prospective campaign is a "sideshow."

"Obviously, I hit a nerve because they're fighting me," Trump said this morning on Fox and Friends.

He added: "I can tell you I'm their worst nightmare. I am not the person they want to run against. They know it, and I know it. I know it for a fact because I have a lot of people that frankly are contributors to him and they tell me, 'Donald, you are not the person they want to run against.'"

He knows people. Yeah, anyone can say that. I know a few friends of Trump who say privately that his hair is thinking about running against him.

He had a chance to have a Ross Perot type of appeal (not that he appealed to me personally). But instead he has really hurt the repugs, IMO, and for that I am grateful.

Should he really run it will be interesting to see him open up for financial disclosure. 4 bankruptcies to explain away too.

Two thoughts. First, there is a lot of bluster in this guy. I almost wish he gets the nomimation and like Meg Whitman, is egotistical enough to pour millions of his own money into buying the race. Then when he loses, finds another bankrupcy looming...that would be bankrupcy #3?

He's also defaulted on debt and has had the audacity to sue those to whom he was indebted for tarnishing his image.
