Same for me, but I do watch Modern Family and enjoy it. They do play to some stereotypes about gays, but overall I think the presence of the gay couple is a positive. And they are the best part of the show!

just want to toss in here that i do sometimes snarl at their stereotypes, but i have noticed that one of the great results of even those is that, combined with the complete common blundering humanness of the gay couple, the stereotypes let viewers see that ordinariness in even the most stereotypical lgbtqis.
did i make sense there?
thank you, Still a Democrat!

it is making a big difference in the masses' perceptions. i see people i never would have expected to, getting emotionally involved in the characters and stories - and so, far better prepared to deal with their own family and community members' coming out ... as many kinds of 'different.'
thank you, jaxx!

hey, i think it was a discussion here (between you?? and ... ??) that taught me the word ... no, the identity, Gleek, and so i was then able to introduce my mother to her Gleek selfhood. she loved it!!

"Gleek Selfhood" ..Chris Colfer won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Kurt on Glee and I know his interpretation makes me tear up with his masterful performance and victories over bullies.
