I just called my teabag rep and senator.

I just called my teabag rep and senator.
Told both that the 2012 repub budget is not going to be accepted by the people and it's unconscionable that they will try to destroy the people's safety nets to give money to tax cuts for the rich and the businesses.

The reps office (Schilling) listened, asked questions and took my name. The senators office (Kirk) didn't give a shit, but I reminded him that the senate will eventually vote on this and his vote will be noted by all Illinois constituents.

I am going to rattle their cages from here on out and tell them that the teapubs version of the USA is unacceptable.

Thank you, jaxx! This is real Live Action! I don't have to call mine now because they're on board for helping the people..who knows when Senator Akaka resigns in 2012 and there's another election?

I hope Senator Durbin is going to be around for quite some time more.

IL is lucky to have Durbin. I didn't call him because we can count on him. Kirk is a rat bastard, Koch Bros gave him more than any other senator they sponsored. His phone guy was a creep.

Kirk and his phone will rue the day they went the creep route.

Illinois should be nice and tired of his ass after 6 years.

Kirk could have a chance to stick around if he plays a moderate, but he's not doing a good job of that so far. When he's up for re-election it will be a Presidential election year again, and not some low-turnout Republican landslide. Illinois voters will kick him out if he spends 6 years acting like a tea bagger.

RE: I just called my teabag rep and senator.
I just called Kirk's office and was giving them an earful about Ryan's budget, and the worthless slugs hung up on me.

I will go out of my way to campaign extra hard against this guy. Pity it's five years away.

Now if Kirk would just get a lot of those calls. We know what an arrogant lying idiot he is, already.

This is a guy who had a spectacular resume as an intelligence officer and still felt he needed to lie in order to puff up his service record.

He was my Congressman before he was my Senator, and he was holding town halls. He came to my town and his "town hall" was a prepared message, allowing no one to ask any questions.

He's a douchebag. He's no moderate, although he has at times voted in favor of some environmental issues.

And just to remind people, the Green candidate in that Senate race had more votes than Kirk's margin of victory. Alexi Giannoulias had pledged to start the Senate progressive caucus and champion clean energy. That's what we could have had. A real progressive.
Thanks Greens! Thanks for hurting the progressive movement once again with a waste of time campaign that never had a chance of winning.
