The President is NOT playing chess or checkers.. he is fly fishing

I know I have heard many people refer to President Obamas policies as Chess...but I think it is a lot more like fly fishing.

If you have never done fly fishing (without some guide holding your hand).. the first thing you do is scout the river.. see what the fish are eating. You just don't throw something in willy nilly.

When you see what is hatching, what the trout are feeding on, you either use a fly you have already tied, or go back to camp and tie one that matches whatever is there.. and toss it out..

You catch the fish with their own bait..

and the you release the small ones to grow.. catch and release..you don't eat the future.

It takes skill and patience. Kudos to a skilled man.

That's a great analogy and really nails it. Unfortunately as a whole our nation has the patience of a small child.

I have been thinking that the Republicans never intended to have their playbook repealed especially by the likes of not so smart TeaBagger Republicans. I believe the mere existence of President Obama screwed up their plans.....they didn't expect him to have any successes, with every success they become more desperate. Round and Round we go, they are going to make even bigger mistakes in the next year...we need to capatilize on them....with the right bait!
