3 Koch owned states plan massive tax cuts for the wealthy elite
This is what it's all about. The right and the GOP has declared open class warfare on the working classes.

Quote:MAINE: Tea Party Gov. Paul LePage’s (I) tax reform package would raise the state’s estate tax exemption from $1 million to $2 million — allowing four hundred of the state’s wealthiest estates to escape taxation. At the same time, the tax plan would raise property taxes on middle class Mainers while freezing health care funding for working parents, cutting money for schools, and raising the retirement age for public workers. Republican legislators want to go even further, and are currently considering eliminating the estate tax altogether.

OHIO: In January, House Speaker William Batchelder ® called Gov. John Kasich’s ® proposal to completely eliminate the estate tax one of the Republican-controlled legislature’s “top priorities.” But already, the bill has garnered strong opposition from local governments, who depend on estate tax revenue and are already concerned state spending cuts. Even while finding room for estate tax reductions, Kasich’s proposed budget cuts 25 percent of funding for local schools, $427 million for nursing homes, $1 million for food banks, $12 million from children’s hospitals, and $15.9 million from an adoption program for children with special needs.

NEW JERSEY: In his 2011 budget proposal, Gov. Chris Christie called for raising the state’s estate tax exemption from $675,000 to $1 million even while proposing cuts to the state’s Earned Income Tax Credit and homestead rebates for working poor families. And last year Christie vetoed a bill passed by the Legislature that would have raised taxes on the state’s millionaires to help fund property tax relief for Main Street.

I loved the first comment on that article.. how in the heck are these people getting elected.. and the truth is.. they are being lied to day after day..

When the right did away with equal access so people got both sides of and argument, this very scenario was predicted.

When all you hear is one side..then that is the truth as perceived

And once these perceptions are ingrained, facts become irrelevant. People hang on to their perceptions long after the proofs have shown them the error in their thought processes.

Thoughtful responses are the first victims of partisan passions.

When Koch brothers and other wealthy elite pump $100s of millions if not billions into our political system they tend to get their way. Too many Americans are too lazy to find out the facts, so they are very vulnerable to manipulation and propaganda. This all started with the Republican Supreme Court creating their Citizen's United laws.

Well I hope this news gets out so the workers who have been disgustingly shafted will know what the Koch govs planned all along. Starve the labor, fatten their wealthy campaign donors and revive the ghost of Reagan's piss down on "the little people" theory.

It didn't work then and it's not going to work now. I read yesterday that Snyder was more unpopular than any of the Koch puppet govs.

These animals keep getting elected because their parties keep convincing so many middle class Americans that they have their interests at heart - which as we know is complete and utter horse shit. I don't know why this ruse keeps working. I think of the middle class/ lower middle class people who continue to vote rethug as little birds on the floor near a great dining table, mouths open, hoping upon hope that a few crumbs will fall into their mouths.

Just astounding.
