James O’Keefe, the conservative bad boy whose stealth videotaping destroyed the community organization ACORN and threatens funding for National Public Radio, doesn’t want to be caught on video himself. O’Keefe, a Bergen County native and Rutgers graduate, last week addressed a fundraiser for a tea party group in Keyport and made it clear to an Asbury Park Press news videographer: No videotaping allowed.

That’s rich. The man who made his name with secret videos doesn’t trust his own image and words to a public taping. O’Keefe knows how easy it is to manipulate video and audio. He craftily edits his sneak videos for maximum damage. The charge that ACORN used tax dollars to fund an international underage prostitution ring was untrue. The Government Accountability Office cleared ACORN of wrongdoing. Too late to save the group that advocated for poor people for 40 years. An O’Keefe acolyte has hurled a similar charge using questionable video against Planned Parenthood.

Which is why I think someone ought to hire a detective to conspicuously follow him around wherever he goes. That would drive him INSANE! And it would be appropriate karma.
