GOP Candidate: Deport Latino Farmworkers, Replace With Inner-City Blacks
Mother Jones:

A Republican candidate running for Rep. Chris "Craigslist" Lee's seat in upstate New York isn't doing his scandalized party any favors. Jack Davis, a local businessman vying for the seat, shocked local GOP leaders by suggesting that the area's Hispanic farmworkers should be deported, and that inner city blacks should be bused in to pick the crops instead, as The Buffalo News reports.

I was born a Truman, but you can call me Pat. Wave

"They want to give people like me a two hundred thousand dollar tax cut that’s paid for by asking thirty three seniors to each pay six thousand dollars more in health costs? That’s not right, and it’s not going to happen as long as I’m President." Barack Obama

Why not unemployed white people? They need the jobs too!
Facepalm
I mean, hey, all those blue collar auto workers and white collar engineers who've been looking for work for so long even their extended unemployment has run out, shouldn't they be given a chance to be sprayed by pesticides or dismember chickens?

All for pathetic wages and no bargaining power, too. Medical care? County clinics and the ER will do nicely.

Oy yoy yoy.

My point being, in case my sarcasm wasn't clear enough...
... is that if the anti-immigrant folks got their wish and we had impenetrable walls along our entire borders, certain industries would just about collapse before either (a) raising wages and working conditions to something acceptable to Americans or (b) lowering American labor's expectations to serfdom.

After living through the past decade I've just about concluded that certain sectors of the economy (The Billionaire sector) are really striving for (b).
