RE: Tony Shalhoub(Mr Monk) Rallies With Wisconsin!
I just saw it..they didn't show him..just lots of people in the crowds cheering. And, I couldn't understand everyword but I heard "This country is under assault"! He mentioned "fox news" and everyone BOOOOOOOOOOed! He introduced his sister Amy who is an educator in Wisconsin and went to public schools, a member of the Teacher's Union..and joked about her being a "lazy ass malcontent":roflmao:

At the end he refered to Walker as "soon to be former gov Walker". It's about 9 minutes long and pretty inspiring.

Monk's a Democrat!Bounce His sister Amy is a teacher in Wisconsin, a Union member, and went to public school..you can imagine, Julie, when he heard about all this going on in Wisconsin and making the decision he had to go give them support! Flag

z-Thumbsup Tony Shalhoub in Wis: "This is the Birth of a Nationwide Movement"..
<snip>

"You need to know you are the heart and soul of America today," Shalhoub said. "This is the birth of a nationwide movement. A movement destined to restore the rights of workers."

According to the Associated Press, the protesters were joined by 50 tractors and, fittingly, one donkey.

Shalhoub (apologies for mangling the spelling of his name in an earlier post) was sent to Madison on behalf of the Screen Actors Guild, which is supporting the workers along with other industry unions.

"in essence I really just want people to know that they're not alone here. That there is support from people all over the country from people who are union members and people who are not union workers," Shalhoub told a local Fox affiliate. He grew up in the Green Bay area and his sister is a school teacher in the state.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

RE: Tony Shalhoub(Mr Monk) Rallies With Wisconsin!
That is truly heartwarming. Thank you, Tony Shalhoub!!!

I never knew he was from Wisconsin -- we have an old Shalhoob family in Santa Barbara, and I always thought he might be a scion of that family tree. Considering that Wisconsin is now the epicenter of a fantastically important labor uprising, how great it is that I was totally wrong.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever does. ~Margaret Mead~

I've always been a huge Monk fan. Unfortunately I've seen every episode multiple times, but at least they ended the show well. Often grand finalis are disappointments.

Kudos to him for getting involved!
