From the AZ Republic on March 6, 1011

Benson keeps hitting the nail on the head. He can say so much in one little cartoon.

"I give thanks for this perfect day. Miracle will follow miracle and wonders will never cease."

The universe tends to unfold as it should.

Beautiful! That's the way I look at them too.
I don't think I've ever seen so much ineptitude on the part of the Repubs Big Grin

Who's the serious candidate they're going to run?
It's starting to look like the party elders will only offer up a sacrificial lamb. Or they'll look for a Goldwater candidate that's meant to lose but still fuel an ideological movement.

Pawlenty or Mittens. One of those two 'management' types will get the back-room pick.

No fringer Teabagger-type would have an ice-cubes chance in Hell against Mr. Obama, after they have stumbled out of the gate in both the House and in the states, basically screwing the pooch and chasing moderates away from the Republican brand.

The funny part is that any Republican chasing the nomination will have to pander to the fringe loony Teabaggers as they will come out in droves, driving the rhetoric even further to the right.

After saying a plethora of insane things in front of frothing Teabagger audiences, they will then be forced to tack to the middle in order to even sniff a chance at getting elected.

And the Democrats will use their own words to destroy them.

I would view Romney as a sacrificial lamb. He would nearly guarantee victory for Obama in North Carolina and Virginia again and make several other southern states competitive. He would also be a prime target for a more conservative third party candidate.
