RE: "Huckbee's Lie That He Really Meant Indonesia"
I lived in Arkansas when Huckabee was govenor and he is one big panderer! Just about the time I try to give him the benefit of the doubt he reminds me who he really is and who he is "preaching" to.

I also lived in Arkansas while The Huckster was governor. He is an out-and-out fraud. He cut Wayne Dumond loose from jail in exchange for political support from a cabal of Northwest Arkansas fundamentalists, and he ran an administration that was riddled with corruption and sweetheart deals for his friends.

MH is a total phony and tool and his "mr nice guy" act is just that: an act.

He's toast now.
Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid
The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Yep, stuff like this shows just how crazy those running for the republican ticket really are! He was trying to please the teabaggers, but while doing so he made a fool out of himself.
Seems to be the way to go these days, please the teabaggers and alienate anyone else in the party who may be moderates. What they don't seem to understand is the teabaggers are not going to get them elected! They need a hell of a lot more votes than the teabaggers can give them, and pushing the rest of the party under bus in order to please this one small group of morons, is not going to work!

Huckabee is bending over for the stupid gop primary voters and must have thought he was doing an admirable job until even Chuck Todd picked up on his moronic assertion and then told a lie to slither out of his pronoucements.
From Benen's Blog today..
>snip<
THE COMPANY THEY KEEP.... Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's ® remarks about the president on a radio show yesterday were clearly offensive, but it's also worth pausing to note who it was Huckabee was speaking to.
To be sure, the remarks were ridiculous enough at face value. But the Republican made the comments to none other than Bryan Fischer, the resident nut at the American Family Association.
And who's Bryan Fischer? Walid Zafar recently described him, accurately, as "one of the most hateful public figures in the country. Almost daily, he says or writes something that is not only offensive, but almost unique in its viciousness."
We're talking about a hysterical right-wing clown who wants Muslim Americans to be "deported" (to where is unclear); equates gay sex with "domestic terrorism," and is convinced that the U.S. military is being run by "fundamentalist Muslims and homosexual activists."[/b]
>snip<
Just last week, Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker joined Fischer to discuss his anti-choice legislation, and before that it was presidential hopeful Tim Pawlenty telling Fischer he'll reinstate Don't Ask, Don't Tell.
>snip<
I seem to recall, in 2008, the right took a pretty strong interest in who Democratic candidates chose to associate themselves with. With that in mind, what are Huckabee, Pawlenty, and others doing paling around with an extremist like Bryan Fischer?

I called the office of his exploratory committee at 501-324-2008 #2 and left a message. What an epic piece of shit he is!
Plus he's gaining weight and becoming his fatass self again.

And then attributing a particular opinion to all Kenyans and saying anyone who grew up there must think the same thing - that's bigotry.
This was going to be my question.
In precisely what way is "really meaning" Indonesia any better? Both comments are lies. Is this what we've come to? Offering a correction of a lie that is also a lie somehow negates both lies?

RE: "Huckbee's Lie That He Really Meant Indonesia"
WTF?
Huckabee: Obama Not Scout or Little Leaguer
Last night on “The O’Reilly Factor,” Mike Huckabee apologized for saying Barack Obama grew up in Kenya, explaining only that he meant that the president isn’t a Real American.
Quote:Huckabee: My point, really, even about talking about him raised in a different country, actually Indonesia, not Kenya, as I do understand, again, it’s right there in the book for me to read and anybody else if they care to, but the point that I do want to make is that creates a different worldview. This is not a kid who grew up, you know, going to Boy Scout meetings and playing Little League baseball in a small town.
O’Reilly: He is not a traditional guy; he’s a guy who’s had a lot of life experience that is different from, you know, the mom-and-apple-pie upbringing.

I prefer my racism straight up with no chaser to this twisting in the wind chorus of dog whistles.
These morons go out of their way to find a hundred different ways to use racial epithets without using the ones that are supposedly forbidden. Can't call him a "negro" or "colored." Sure can't use that other word. Hey, I know. I'll call him "un-American." Means the same thing, but doesn't sound like it does. Plausible deniability is the key phrase.
Fuck 'em.
Thanks RoyG for calling out the slimey euphemisms the gop think are sooo clever when talkin' their racist bigoted shit.

Was this really necessary?
Bill Clinton was born and raised in Arkansas.
Dale Bumpers was born and raised in Arkansas.
Johnny Fucking Cash was born and raised in Arkansas.
Maya Angelou. C. Vann Woodward. Cliff Lee. Scottie Pippen. Lucinda Williams. Levon Helm. Lefty Frizzell. E. Fay Jones. Bear Bryant. Lou Brock.
Not a single inbred pigfucker in the bunch.
Oh, and by the way, my wife grew up in Texarkana and Monticello. She awaits an explanation for this cartoon.
