Fox News' Bret Baier announced Wednesday that his network is suspending its contracts with two paid contributors, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum, as they consider a run for the Republican presidential nomination.

Both Gingrich and Santorum are widely expected to seek the nomination. Fox News has said that if and when any of its contributors and personalities enter the race they will lose their contract with the network.

"The suspension is effective for 60 days, then on May 1st, their contracts will be terminated unless they notify Fox they are not running for president," Baier said on the air Wednesday, according to TV Newser. He added that the move "had been contemplated from the start, from the very beginning."

Pretty soon they won't have anybody left at fox, since many of the idiots who want to run this year seem to all work at fox! Shrug

One thing for sure it's going to be a 3 ring circus in the republican primaries with every nut from the far right trying to cash in on running for president! I can hardly wait fort the debates to start! roflmao

Anyone still wondering why these two are keeping their intentions completely under wraps?

FAUX doesn't care that Santorum and Gingrich may be running. They only care that the pair have been so publicly noisy about it. Gingrich has always been bad at this game. Santorum, given his extremist ideology and enormous need to publicly flagellate his opponents as though a Papal Inquisitor, probably isn't either.

I'm actually surprised Palin has done this so well for so long.

Yeah, I read that earlier today and figured that's why Huckabee is not announcing his running for President yet..so he can bloviate on fox, collect the paycheck and go on radio shows and expose what a swarm bag he's always been although he ~~keeps~~ kept it hidden more than some.
