are putting their lives on hold for principle. They are tough. It would have been a cakewalk to stay in Wisconsin and let Walker have his way. The tough got going.

Threats to withhold their paychecks not withstanding. Now outside groups from Utah forming a recall event

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/2...DR20110224

This not the first time, when the going got tough..the tough got going.. Lincoln jumped out a window to avoid a quorum on a vote

Lincoln, Eisenhower.. even Reagan would not be allowed in the Republican Party of today, because they would have been seen as Rino's . What counts as tough in the Republican Party of today are bloviators like Walker, Bachmann, King, Palin.. who are all about angst, but not solving problems.

I have great doubts that the Bachmanns and Palins and Walkers etc of today would have the guts to get going when the going got tough. Would have the guts to lose their paychecks.. be away from their families etc.

Hats off to the truly tough.

Bachmanns and Palins and Walkers = highly paid billionaire puppets

Since the 3 of them all lack any sort of ethics or moral compasses they were the perfect fronts for the Koch brothers and company. Since they are in it for their paycheck, they most likely don't have the guts. Most mercenaries are not as brave or tough as those that fight out of principal.

If three republicans join the democrats, this could be over. It would not only be the best thing for Wisconsin, but the best thing for traditional republicans also.

Call me a pie eyed optimist.. but there are a LOT of Eisenhower republicans in Wisconsin.. and if they flex their muscle, it would be the best thing ever as far as putting the Kochs' and their ilk who have tried to manipulate the tea party supporters back in their place.

Union people come in all stripes including republican. Koch's, Walkers, etc may have finally stepped into the pile of cow manure they have been creating. They went too far

The polls showing that 56% in Wisconsin don't want collective bargaining prohibited - I know Walker could not care less but maybe there are some reasonable Republicans (oxymoron?) who will take that into consideration.

This was not something that the Wisconsin republicnas signed on to when Walker was elected. The base turns out in mid term elections, but that does not mean that 30% even if they are 51% of the votes counted are the majority of Wisconsinites.

They so overstepped the lines.

Oh, they'll shoot you in the back or gang up on you when you're outnumbered, but we've all confronted them on their hate one-on-one and watched them whine like babies or just get silent when you point out their hate-filled hypocrisy.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

It is one year before they can do a recall of Walker for this hot mess he created. He got the concessions and then went for the jugular in the state that gave birth to collective bargaining for state employees.

Seems Mr Walker forgot.. state employees are citizens and tax payers too. They also have large extended families..

When the going got tough in Alaska..palin got going clean out of office. Turns out her calling is not to be a Governor of Alaska so she quit 1/2 through. palin's calling is that of a big motormouth lie machine aimed at our awesome President of the United States of America.

How the fook could she seriously run for President when she can't even hack the politics of Alaska?

Well, to be fair, being governor of Alaska in and of itself didn't give her 24/7 national exposure, which is really what she's after.

She'd be a Bush type President only worse. The government would be run by everyone but her, and she's be the "pretty" face on the TeeVee making all her tea-bagger drones drool over every wink and a nod.

I sometimes allow myself to imagine a Palin presidency. I'm quite certain that by the end of the first year, every advanced country in the world would have broken diplomatic relations with us, and we'd be at war with Canada.
