Tea Party candidate to challenge Sen. Snowe
WASHINGTON - Tea Party activist Andrew Ian Dodge said Friday that he will challenge Sen. Olympia Snowe in the 2012 Republican primary.

<..> Dodge told the conservative Pajamas Media that he is "taking it to the next level as a fiscal conservative activist."

"It is something that had to be done," he said.

<..> Scott D'Amboise, a health care technician from Lisbon Falls, also says he intends to challenge Snowe in the 2012 GOP primary.

**Warning** This Dodge guy looks kinda spooky. But hey, he's a teabagger.

What a country, where even the delusional can run for high office.

Fiscally "conservative" except when it came to spending like idiots on blowing up Iraq and building it up again and not a fooking peep from the teabagger type blowhards.

Does anyone else think the electorate might be sick of hearing about "The Tea Party" by the time the 2012 elections roll around? Shrug Whenever I see polling, it's amazing that people just aren't that into the Tea Party. We need whatever progressive voices we have out there, taking it to these idiots, instead of spending so much time trying to pad their own wallets & egos.

I'm terrified that the retirements we're hearing about will open up the way for more Rand Paul types. It seems that Independents like us more since the midterms, but they are a fickled bunch.

OMG you weren't joking.

I was born a Truman, but you can call me Pat. Wave

I expect to see more teabaggers taking on republicans they don't think are "crazy" enough for them. I wonder how many current republicans will do as Murkowski did up in Alaska and run as in write it or independent? If enough crazy teabaggers get into the primaries, and by some chance actually win like they did in 2010, that could be good for the democrats in 2012.

As Tarheel_Dem said, most polls show the tea party crowd is not as popular as they were during the primaries in 2010. I think people have seen how nutty they really are, and after 2 years in D.C. fighting "against" republicans, and dividing the party more and more, a majority of republicans won't be voting for them if they do win a primary in 2012!
