RE: Obama Leads GOP Field in NH
Romney is much too close for comfort. I suppose it's because he seems sane, comparatively speaking.

He's also a local. Most New Hampshire voters live within the Boston media market, so we've been hearing about Romney since 1994. Romney also owns a home on Lake Winnepesaukee in Wolfeboro.

Thanks for that bit of good news. I keep thinking that a Mitt Romney won't fare as well here in the South. The whole Mormon thing, which really shouldn't matter, just won't play well with the Southern Baptists.

Mittens won't get past the R primary. After all, his fingerprints are on socialist obamacare-MA version. His opponents aren't going to let him get away with that.
The R nominee won't be any of the people polled. It will be someone less well known. If Obama is beating these people in VA of all places, as he is, then they are in a shitload of trouble if they go with one of these retreads.
Principles alone do not put food on the table.

I've even heard the name Marco Rubio floated. Admittedly, I thought Scott Brown could have been a possibility, shortly after his win in MA. But it seems the Teabaggers turned on him almost immediately, and that's a good thing.

Scott Brown could have decided he can't win his senate seat in '12, turned hard right and run for president, but he decided to try and stay in the senate, which is why he has tacked to the middle.

I wonder who they think would be a real primary challenge to Obama? Personally,I wouldn't mind seeing them try. I think it might take the wind out of their sails to see how little support they can really get. Obama is going to run for a second term with no challenge inside the Democratic party, that much is a given as far as I can see.
