I missed watching Ryan's horse-hockey. I don't regret it. (I'll watch when I can freely drink a shot for every misrepresentation, lie, magical thinking solution and disingenuous statement - have to get **something** out of sitting through it).

The spokespeople from both plitical representatives of the Tea Party Terrorists were very weak. Ryan for a start did not adress the single most important part of his budget proposals, they will leave the US in deficit to pay for large tax cuts for the rich at the expense of one of the biggest hikes in tax in American history on those earning less than $100k.

Sorry, those names just don't ring a bell...were they Republican front-runners at one time?

I only caught part of his response, but Olbermann (via a Twitter) was dead-on in his quip reacting to it.

One of the first things we have to do to improve education in this country is make public speaking classes mandatory. Clearly Ryan never took one, or if he did, he flunked out of it.

One of the pundits on Twitter called him Jindal with a Wisconsin accent.

BTW, if y'all don't do Twitter, you really should ... just so you can follow some of your favorite talking heads. They are, so far, much less reserved in the things they say via Twitter. It's quite entertaining at times.

I never got past the warning that I may be charged text messaging fees on my phone, so no Twitter. I do have an account, but it doesn't seem right using Twitter on a laptop - it's a phone thing - lol.

I don't actually use it on my phone. I use an application called "Tweetdeck" that lets me combine both my own account, the DFP account, and my Facebook news feed in one window. I just open it up and check it occasionally, or if something major is happening, I turn on the notifications.

I rarely actually tweet except to re-tweet some things to the DFP feed. But it's interesting to follow.

What's really fun is when one of the celebrities I follow goes on an all night bender and starts posting while drunk. Seth Green and Weird Al had a party one night and kept posting pictures that I'm sure they regretted the next morning. Good times, good times.
