To question Hagel's competence to be Secretary of Defense, Wallace would have to be familiar with enough aspects of the military and the Defense Department to render such a judgment, which he is obviously not.

If Chris Wallace's father had not been a famous journalist (Mike Wallace), he would have gotten no farther in his career than being a politically motivated hack at a phony "news" station like Fox.
