The GOP wants to destroy the economy in order to save it? That makes no sense at all. Their way hasn't worked in the past and a new PR campaign won't change that.

Gov. Kasich in Ohio is using the smoke and mirrors.

He had a private meeting with school administrators to explain his new school funding plan and all of them came away pleased. Then they got the details which were almost exactly the opposite of what was presented at the meeting.

In his budget he is cutting taxes. Both income and sales taxes will see reductions. As the Akron Beacon Journal pointed out this morning the primary beneficiaries of those cuts will be the top 1%. In fact the problem will be aggravated by another cut to business taxes of 50% on corporate income up to $750,000.

How he plans to balance the budget in coming years is still in question.
