Quote: WASHINGTON (AP) -- Beyonce will sing the national anthem at President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony.

The committee planning the Jan. 21 event also announced Wednesday that Kelly Clarkson will perform "My Country `Tis of Thee" and James Taylor will sing "America the Beautiful" at the swearing-in ceremony on the Capitol's west front.

She's got a beautiful voice, so that should be a treat. I hope Stevie Wonder performs this time around too, I loves me some Stevie and I know the President does too!

Hate to say it, but I wasn't too thrilled with her rendition of "At Last" at the Prez' first inaugural ball. She's an amazing overall performer, but I'm not a big fan of her more ambitious singing efforts.

The best rendition of the National Anthem that I've ever heard was a coronet solo at a graduation in New Orleans.

It was very special--the musician was the husband of one of the graduates.
