OK, you've got Palin Fatigue.
I got it in the late summer of 2008.

"Why America is growing tired of Palin"

>snip<

Not to worry. So does much of the country: The latest CNN poll shows that 56 percent of Americans view her unfavorably.

More damaging, though, is this: Sarah Palin's unfavorable rating among women has gone up 10 points. And 59 percent of those all-important independent voters don't like her -- and that's up a stunning 14 points in just a few months.

You might argue it's because of the debate surrounding the Tucson shootings -- specifically, Palin's tone-deaf response to the unfair charges that she was somehow responsible for a deranged shooter's state of mind. And that could well be part of it. But there's more: She's completely overstayed her welcome.

We've watched her morph from the hockey mom into a multi-media extravaganza that knocks on our door every day to sell something, without any invitation.

I don't agree with Gloria Borger here in that my view is too much of a bad thing gets every bit as tiresome as too much of a "good thing" which Palin never was.

"Breath of fresh air"?! If one considers vicious lies with snarling fetid breath "fresh air".

Fox "news" is in large part responsible for over selling their product and Joan Rivers was right about Palin.

I'm thinking if a cnn poll says only "56% are tired of her" then it's gotta be more.

Yes, I too think there are a LOT more people tired of her than just 56%! While I do think he Tucson thing has hurt her, I also think that the more people hear from her, the more they realize she is out for one thing, the MONEY, and could care less about this country, or the people in it!

She has a base of around 20% or so of the really radical, far right wing, crazies in the republican party. The ones who would never in their life vote for liberal, progressive, or democrat. They love her because she plays to their fears, and most of all, their hate! She knows she can count on them to buy her books, pay to hear her speak, and keep her and her family rolling money for years to come, no matter what happens, or how much she runs her mouth making no sense at all to anyone with half a brain!

As long as people are dumb enough to keep making her rich, she will be right there to take them to the cleaners! Here numbers will not get any better, but they will get worse!

Spot freaking on analysis, Andy. Even though America as a country has had it with the craven attentionwhore..there will always be those to donate to palin's latest scheme and that's who she must be talking to when she doesn't mind exposing herself as a tone deaf narcissist.

I, too, bridle at the 56%. It's got to be much more than that. Just a quick strawpoll around my town would turn up numbers much more indicting.

With Palin, its all surface stuff. Yeah, she looks good in a dress and those trendy frames. When you think about it though, would a woman of her views and obvious lack of smarts and education get the time of day if she looked like, well, Helen Thomas?

What is sustaining Sarah is ironically the same good old boy sexist life views that many of her female fans say she is bucking.

The old harpy's finally wearing out her welcome. Well, it took longer than I thought, but I'm damn glad it's finally happening.

That's how I think of her too and she's younger chronologically than I am.

It's happening now but I'm not underestimating the ignorance of too many to have her show up again with the corporatemedia shoving her down the American gullet.
