It is time to see if the Republican Party's number one goal has changed since October 25th, 2010:

If their number one goal has not changed (substitute "thwarting" for "defeating"), NOTHING they say about having "gotten the message" of the 2012 election will have ANY credibility whatsoever. They'll try to impeach Obama for having used a toothpick from the wrong end. They'll find a pretext not to work with him. It doesn't matter how few people support their insane efforts. Big Money will support them, and Fox will support them. In today's America, it's enough. Unfortunately.

Fortunately, THIS time, we see them coming. ALL of us.

They are in total disarray at the moment. Who knows what they will morph into?

And who cares? These are reprobates. They're not going to get any better. They aren't going to be tethered to reality.

They will continue to die off and one can only hope the spigot is pouring out fewer sociopaths than the number that go down the drain. In the meantime an improving economy will strengthen our own case.

I totally take your point, DFW. The only changes the GOP is willing to make at this point is to figure out better and bigger lies with which to hoodwink needed constituencies, and to seal the cracks among their ranks that allowed certain inconvenient truths to seep out. Keeping an eye on 'em. All of 'em!

One thing their "new" talking points seem to have in common -- they really aren't going to change, they are just going to put a different shade of lipstick on the pig and hope we don't notice it's still a pig.

I heard the TeaParty idiots feel the problem is Republicans are not conservative enough and they plan to primary any Republicans who do not live up to their oh-so-lofty expectations.
I say... GO for it TeaParty idiots. It's worked sooo well for you in this past election.

Indeed, let's have them offer many more candidates like Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock, so they can show the country how much they've learned from the election of 2012.
