We can not repeat the mistakes of 2008 where so many decided victory meant attacking the man the won the election and giving the GOP and right wingers a free pass. We can not expect our politicians to force unpopular views on the American people. That means we need to start selling progressive ideas to the American people. We need to make people realize that helping the wealthy does not help America. We need to make people realize that freedoms and rights for all are critical. Finally we need to help the American public understand our government is for and by the people and is not our enemy.

As long as there are things like YouTube and videos of government officials doing dumb things there will be angst against them. Occupy for example. TSA foundling old ladies in the wheelchairs. There will always be a portion of people who will see the government as evil. Just depends on who is in the White House at the time.

Having been in the path of Super Storm Sandy, I can tell you there are plenty of reasons not to hate the feds.

The Republicans will be in disarray, at least in the short term. Now is the time, before they regroup, to let the American people see how much better all our lives can be under progressive policies.

What I was saying it just takes a few bad apples to make the whole lot look rotten. FEMA has done a great job and is an example for the rest. TSA take note.

The only think that stops companies from hiring is not being able to sell their products. This "don't tax the job creators" stuff is nonsense.
