Wednesday lunchtime here in Melbourne, I have ABC (Aust. Broadcasting Corp) news coverage on and fingers, toes and everything else is crossed, hoping for an Obama victory.

Just heard that Florida is close but a result should be called in about half an hour. Electoral votes stand at O-177 to R-167.

This is a lot closer than I would have predicted last week but trust Nate Silver and canetoad's gut instinct. Second term for Obama.

All states with results in have been called for the expected candidate so far. That's actually good news as Pres Obama should win if this continues.

Closer than I thought too, but I think we're good. If FL & VA are close, we've got to be able to pull out Ohio for certain as long as everybody's vote counts.
