Election Eve prediction thread
OK it's a little early (except for our Aussie friends.

What do you think will be the outcome of this much anticipated election.

My predictions:

Obama 312 and 51.5% of the popular vote.
Romney 226 and 48.5% of the popular vote.

Senate Dems pick up one seat and retain control split 53D /45R / 2I
House Dems pick up ten seats making the split 203D / 232R

RE: Election Eve prediction thread
My guess is that the election will be close; almost as close as 2000 or 2004. But, Obama will win.

The Democratic party will hold the Senate, or gain one ( Warren in MA)
The Democratic Party will gain 7 to 10 in the House.

I know almost nothing about polls; I have to go by the poll averaging folks and my reading of the situation. But, I am living in Texas; safe GOP.

My sympathies for your plight living in Texas.

I like your prediction.

I do have one more prediction though, 100% chance of whining and racism from the right starting Tuesday evening.

RE: Election Eve prediction thread
Election night: Obama/Biden at 306 electoral votes. Dems increase majority in Senate. Dems increase numbers in the House. Romney's concession speech will be a greatest hits litany of his most despicable lies -- and there's a 60/40 chance Romney will not concede until Nov. 7th. Romney will be seething, and Ann will look worriedly at him throughout. In an upset surprise, Paul Ryan also loses his congressional seat.

I love the thought of Ryan being a double loser on Tuesday night!

RE: Election Eve prediction thread
pappy,

there are saving graces for Texas: the open country; the endless blue sky; the people are polite. Politeness makes up for a lot.

There are bigots everywhere; bloody minded "conservatives" are everywhere; intolerance is a commonplace. I have learned to live with that nonsense.

And, pappy, the whining. Long and loud. That includes the GOP pros in Congress. I expect the GOP to pitch a conniption fit.

RE: Election Eve prediction thread
Obama wins with 350 EVs
Willard gets less than 200

Senate we get at least 2 more seats, Warren and Donnelly in IN and keep the others we have.

House we get rid of a bunch of teabaggers...IL will contribute to the cause axing Walsh and Schilling and hopefully more. Dems go to 210.

In my wildest dreams Ryan and Cantor lose their house seats and ride off into the sunset with Willard.

RE: Election Eve prediction thread
My prediction: I will be happily tipsy and unable to sleep all Tuesday night from just needing to watch every bit of election coverage I can and hearing over and over and over "Obama has won re-election!"

"I give thanks for this perfect day. Miracle will follow miracle and wonders will never cease."

There's nothing more reassuring then realizing the world is crazier than you are.

I think it won't be as close as they are polling. Obama will win hands down.
A wife thinks he wins electoral but not popular. What a mess that would be. Revenge Al Gore.

Looks like I was too pessimistic on the electoral total and too optimistic on the popular vote.

I nailed the Senate but I haven't seen the final numbers for the House. I anticipate that my number there is optimistic.
