Skipping the parts about Obama winning in MI and on to other issues and campaigns.

Pete Hoekstra's favorability numbers slipped under water after his controversial Super Bowl ad and never recovered. Only 36% of voters have a favorable opinion of him to 41% with a negative one. Stabenow has a solid 49/38 approval spread and is out running Obama because she's winning over 15% of Republicans and has a 53/41 advantage with independents.

Michigan's emergency managers law appears headed for defeat, with only 36% of voters supporting to 45% who are opposed. 19% are still undecided, which suggests some possibility for an upset. It's not terribly surprising that Democrats (28/51) and independents (40/44) are opposed. But the real reason it's trailing is a lack of support from Republicans, who favor it by only a 40/38 margin. Rick Snyder has a 75/9 approval rating with GOP voters, but they don't appear to be listening to their Governor on this issue.

Ballot initiatives to enshrine collective bargaining rights in the constitution (35/55) and to create a state renewable energy standard (31/62) both appear to be headed for pretty lopsided defeats. In both cases Democrats support the amendments (58/26 on collective bargaining and 55/36 on renewable energy), but Republicans oppose them by much wider margins (15/79 on collective bargaining and 9/85 on renewable energy.)

RE: PPP-Michigan
Glad Hoekstra is losing, what a bum. Also good the 'emergency managers' is going down, that was draconian. Hard to believe collective bargaining is in trouble....that really stinks. Maybe the Dems will pull it through along with green energy. We know the pubs are against anything reasonable.

My President is Barack Obama.
