Where we are with three days left
By Greg Sargent

Nate Cohn looks at all the most recent polling in Ohio, Wisconsin and Nevada — three states that would put Obama over 270 — and concludes:

<..> The RCP averages show Obama leading in those states by 2.9, 5.4 and 2.7 points respectively. This comes after two polls yesterday — from CNN and NBC/WSJ — put Obama up three and five points in Ohio. Meanwhile, Cohn notes there is evidence Obama is edging ahead in Colorado.

And in Florida, an NBC/WSJ poll last night put Obama up two points. In the averages, Romney’s lead in Florida ranges from 0.2 points to 1.4 points. For all the talk about his “expanding map,” Romney is still fighting to hold Florida. Cohn concludes:

<..> As always, the polls could be wrong, and Romney could still win. But the polls would have to be overwhelmingly, systematically, catastrophically wrong in multiple states for that to happen.

Four years ago I remember him in Viriginia and his grandmother"Toot" had just passed away the day before, and he stood out in the cold the the last rally before the election and fought back tears.

I was born a Truman, but you can call me Pat. Wave

"They want to give people like me a two hundred thousand dollar tax cut that’s paid for by asking thirty three seniors to each pay six thousand dollars more in health costs? That’s not right, and it’s not going to happen as long as I’m President." Barack Obama

I remember that too now that you brought it up. He was so sad but kept on trying to win over voters.

RE: President Obama's 3 Day Schedule
Wish I could make the Concord rally tomorrow morning. Funny they do all these last minute engagements, but they really don't sway many voters - most people are decided at this point. They are mostly for hard-core supporters. It would only be notable if they weren't doing it - then the media would start the speculation game.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

It is all GOTV at this point. These events are outreach to thank, motivate and recruit new volunteers to the GOTV effort.

Movement in the polls at this late date I attribute to the polls finally catching up with changes in sentiment of the last 2 weeks and people finally willing to commit to a choice they really settled on weeks ago but wouldn't admit to others and maybe even themselves.
