Tucson Shooting- Public gives Obama an A and Palin a D-
Quote:Seventy-eight percent in a new ABC News-Washington Post poll approve of the way Obama has responded to the shootings, which he addressed in a speech in Tucson last week; that includes 71 percent of Republicans and conservatives alike. Far fewer, 30 percent overall, approve of the response by his political rival, Sarah Palin.

Holy crap. I think Joe Scar just called Sister Sarah a jackass. They were discussing her and not very nicely. He has a piece up today: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/011...z1BNjcCZ8d .

ps...I still think he wants to run for something.

I stopped watching morining joe after the 2008 election, but I did watch it after the AZ tragedy to see their reaction. Joe and Mika are definately off the palin train. Mika was even rolling her eyes as buchanan tried to defend her. If you didn't know the history of the show, last week you would have thought joe was a Democrat. Wow

"Jackass" Really? That's one way of putting it..he obviously isn't afraid of her big mouth and endorsements.

Thanks for the link, Sass. If palin didn't think she had done something wrong why did she take down the "cross hairs" of a gun sight targeted at Democratic Candidates ..Gabrielle Giffords being one of them..in the 2010 Election? And, then lie about it?

It's important that palin is getting called on herself self serving whine across the political spectrum because of her violent rhetoric.

if joe scar could ever stay consistently on message, he might have a rebound future in politics but i think he knows where his bread is buttered. saying that, i don't hate the guy. for a republican, he at least seems to know what the deal is.

At the moment it's MSNBC that butters his bread. I suspect that has to moderate him somewhat, but I hear what you're saying here. I can tolerate him but he goes on some rants at times when I have to turn him off. I don't know how Mika can stand him.

Back to the subject.....the President deserves the A and Palin deserves the D-. Those two speeches were day and night, positive and negative. The differences were wide, the delivery was like dead pan and human emotion. I didn't see any comparison between the two.

I give Palin full credit for her speech--it sounded like she approached the situation very thoughtfully, and very carefully, to make sure that she said the least responsible and most inflammatory thing she could possibly think of.

The only reason she doesn't get a flat F is because she did manage to speak using a generally accepted application of the English language. For her, that's an improvement.

I give her an EF for Epic Fail.

It's tragic that 30% of Americans seemingly think failure is the way to go.

Reality has a way of slapping these talk radio freaks in the face when they have to step outside their own little bubble. I think they echo each other so much that they start to believe they represent a majority of the public. Not by a long shot.

I give Palin an F - as in I don't give a Fuck what her ignoramus ass says.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Obama acted Presidential. Palin acted like a spoiled brat. Correction - she wasn't "acting".
