It was tough to make it through that video, although, admittedly, had to laugh at the folks with immigrant accents who were so hatefully insisting Obama is not an American.

The thing that gets me - even those who most fervently mouth-breathed their hatred of the president - are benefiting from his policies - they've got tax cuts in their pockets, they've got protection from insurance companies, they've got extended unemployment insurance, they've got strengthened Medicare, and on and on.

But this also shows me in living color how the Louis Gohmerts, the Michelle Bachmann's, the Steve Kings, the Pete Kings, etc., get into office and stay in office. Looks like the folks they represent are a toxic mix of ignorance and hate, with a generous portion of illiteracy thrown in. Seeing the kids in the video is especially disturbing - they are already riven through and through with race hatred. And the "commie" guy carrying the flag -- what is this, 1952? Seriously.

The kids got to me too. They're being taught to hate, it reminded me of the notorious Phelps bunch who let their kids yell terrible things about gay people.
