It appears it has been down for nearly 3 hours.

I wonder if it got taken down by hackers?

I am so glad I wasn't online. When twitter goes down it's like a curtain closes on the news of the minute.

It was down for over 4 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an attack coming soon after it was announced they were giving up account information and tweets in an investigation of Occupy Wall Street protestor Malcolm Harris.

I watched Secretariat which didn't come on until nearly 5....and that's why I forgot about the debate.
I love that movie.
