Ann Romney to join Mitt on MTP tomorrow

Can't he do anything by himself? Or will this be the launching pad for poor little Queen Ann's victimization from being questioned by the big bad local press in Iowa?

Now they can avoid answering the questions twice as many times.

"Back-in-the-day" Republicans complained about Hilary being too political. Involving herself in the process pushing for health care reform. They wanted a FLOTUS that would stay quietly in the White House residence.

Now they cheer a candidate's wife that answers questions for her husband (except when the questions are uncomfortable) and scolds the proletariat for being nosy.

Can you IMAGINE what Republicans would have made of Michelle Obama joining Barack Obama on MTP? That kind of appearance is what is expected on a Sunday night, 60 Minutes interview!

Mitt hasn't released his medical records either as I understand it. I wonder if she's going along as some kind of "minder" - because she certainly doesn't "soften" his image with that perpetually hard-set, angry, haughty expression.

Romney's eyes always look unfocused -- even Chris Matthews, looking at a clip of Romney speaking, couldn't help himself and said something along the lines of, "We can't let this guy be president -- there's something wrong with him, he's not human."

I honestly have no doubt that the MTP appearance, Ann or no Ann, is going to be nothing short of a "Romneyshambles."

Don't be sure. MTP has a history of throwing softballs to Republicans for a while now. I can't imagine why a presidential candidate would have his wife there. Can you imagine what it would have been like if Bill Clinton had insisted on having Hillary along on his interviews as a candidate?

Actually, one of the best lines of the 1992 campaign was when the Bush campaign was bashing Hillary, and Bill Clinton was asked what he thought about it. Clinton said he had no idea why Bush would spend so much time focused on his wife unless he was running for First Lady.

I only disagree, DFW and Political Tiger, in the sense that Romney has shown himself to be self-sabotaging no matter how "friendly" the environment - Exhibit A, a certain overseas trip he took over the summer.

That woman is almost a caricature of an unfeeling, uncaring, disconnected, screw you little people daughter of privilege.
