I've said that I don't believe the violence or discourse today is as bad as it has been at times in the past. I've also said I don't see that much of a link between wingnut speech and the present day violence. I haven't changed my mind.

That does not, however, mean that I condone either the speech or the violence. I don't know how to bring about the change, but change we must.
