Blitzer really had a predetermined narrative, and I am glad the Admiral insisted on the truth. If CNN spliced and diced, as I heard earlier, shame on them. It's good to know the original full interview is still out there.

It's very odd to say this, but I knew the Right Wing would do this shortly after bin Laden was killed. How? I went to CafePress to see about getting a commemorative mug or button, and what I found was a whole lot of mugs and T-shirts praising Seal Team 6 to the skies without reference to who the CIC is who gave them the orders. It was like they ordered themselves to do this mission, like there was no civilian involved, much less a CIC with the middle name of Hussein. In other words, it was the absence of something that was the clue I picked up on.

(Ended up not getting a mug. Might still get the bumper sticker about how OBL is dead and GM is alive, but that's for another day.)

So there's the VRWC again: trying to alter history, trying to rob this president of one of his greatest accomplishments in the clean-up-after-Dubya process.

I saw this when it aired and the Admiral was adamant that President Obama was the only person who ordered the mission to happen. Wolf did some cheesy round-abouts but they didn't work. He got the truth from McRaven.
