If as the GOP says the wealthy are the job creators
why the hell haven't they created any jobs for the past 4 years as they have enjoyed HUGE George Bush tax cuts????

The truth is the GOP is lying. The middle and lower class are the job creators. Help them earn more and they buy more, which is what really creates jobs.

Where are the jobs? Where is the tax money going? I'm sure those and other questions Rmoney is going to hate having to field as the campaign goes on.

The money is going into gold (at the GOP's/Right Wing's urging) which hurts the economy

It's going into commodities price manipulation that hurts the economy

Finally it's going into Mitt Romney approved over seas tax havens in Switzerland and the Grand Caymans

The truth is the GOP is lying. The middle and lower class are the job creators. Help them earn more and they buy more, which is what really creates jobs.

In the economic equation of supply and demand there is no mention of "job creation" out of thin air. The single most important part of the equation is demand.

If I create a widget and produce 1 million of them but can only sell 100,000 because of a lack of demand I don't hire new employees to produce more widgets. If on the other hand I only produce 100,000 and suddenly orders come in for 1 million I must hire more people and maybe even buy more machinery to produce those 1 million.

Of course that is self evident to anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of how an economy works and nobody reading this needed that last paragraph. The unfortunate thing in today's America is that many many people have been propagandized into believing this simple fact is a lie and that only the wealthy can create jobs, apparently without regard to simple economic rules. They will do so simply because they will not be taxed.

We have fallen down the rabbit hole with Alice and the wealthy are trying to barricade the exits.

I think it's clear every liberal and Democrat needs to be making this the message. Demand, not wealth, creates jobs.

I think it's clear every liberal and Democrat needs to be making this the message. Demand, not wealth, creates jobs.

I have for years pointed that out to people. To my surprise many have called me foolish to believe that demand creates jobs. They have even gotten angry with me for proposing such an outrageous notion. Some have even suggested that not having unions and having low wages create jobs. That is why all the jobs are going to states without strong unions and with low wages.

Not having unions and low wages create profits not jobs but that is not what they believe. Now the wealthy want to make sure this mythology is engrained even deeper into our thinking by the creation of the "company school". We used to have a system where some workers were forced into servitude to the company by debt to the company store. Now the replacement of public education with the company school would ensure that only that which benefits the companies gets taught. As long a Johnny and Jane can do basic math and read the product labels that is good enough. Critical thinking is for the "elites".

Listen to Nick Hanauer and Ezra Klein talk about taxes and job creation - it falls right in line with what is being said here:

RE: If as the GOP says the wealthy are the job creators
in the past 9-11 years that they've been in effect? Why didn't job creation suddenly explode during the 6 years that Republicans controlled everything in the Executive and Legislative Branches? I mean, we know how the regulators in the George W. Bush (mis-)administration were either not performing their regulatory duties or, worse, actively paving the way for corporations to do pretty much anything and everything they wanted to do, so why didn't they create a huge amount of jobs? "Obamacare" hadn't been implemented then. So, what were they "afraid" or "uncertain" of back then? Banghead

RE: If as the GOP says the wealthy are the job creators
i've made that argument with right wingers - they will claim Obama has not created jobs, so I say that with the Republican House, there have not been any new government regulations which are supposedly so bad for jobs creation. So why haven't things improved in spite of the President being a commie socialist Democratic Marxist - they have no answer and start telling me I'm just stupid and don't understand.
