Red states refusing to help their residents have worst percentages of uninsured
Came across this excellent resource for getting an overview of just which states are at the bottom of the scale in providing healthcare to their residents - not surprisingly, virulently red states show up very often:
http://www.statehealthfacts.org/comparet...d=645&cat= (Click on entries in the left column to bring up multiple facets of information on uninsured). Fast facts: Rick Scott: Poor children who are uninsured, 25%, tied with Nevada and Utah for highest in nation Bobby Jindal: Low Income Adults who are uninsured, 46% - seventh highest in nation. Many more enlightening statistics at the link: http://www.statehealthfacts.org/comparet...d=645&cat= (It continues to be gobsmacking to me that Republicans will put their twisted ideology above and beyond human being's lives.) |
