Fake Christians John Boehner, Paul Ryan blow off the nuns on the bus

The nuns on the bus pulled into House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's Virginia office Sunday on what would be the final full day of their nine state bus tour across the country.

Though the lawmaker had been notified that the sisters would be passing through his district, right in the parking lot of his Glen Allen office to be exact, neither he nor his staff was present for their event. This is the third in a trifecta of rebuffs from Republican lawmakers along this trip that began in Iowa on June 17.

While visiting Wisconsin the sisters tried to meet with Representative Paul Ryan, whose budget is one of the main things the journey is meant to call attention to. The nuns are hoping to raise awareness of the social injustices inherent in the Ryan budget, which has already passed the House of Representatives.



"We said this was a stop we had to make because of how important Mr. Cantor is right now and how he is missing so much of the story that is happening in America," Campbell said. Her fellow sisters, who she refers to as her "peeps" and sometimes her "posse" nodded aggressively in agreement. "We want to tell these stories on Capitol Hill. So often these folks on Capitol Hill are disconnected and they want us to believe people are lazy and dependent. They are not lazy and they are not dependent."

GO NUNS!!

Imagine followers of Jesus actually confronting the Republicans and asking "What Would Jesus Do"? Imagine no longer, these nuns are of the few actual Christians we have in this country seeking out injustice and trying to DO something about it.

Best story of the year on the religious front in my opinion.

Jesus was Jewish also, and look at all the good He accomplished in just 3 short years of preaching.

The nuns are giving the GOPers a bad name. You gotta love them for sticking up for the people!!
