How to find a Democratic lawyer?
Is there any way to find out if a lawyer leans a particular way besides looking up contributions?

Searching for a good lawyer is such a pain.

My uncle - lol. Fortunately, a good percentage of defense lawyers lean Democratic, but I have no idea how you'd find out other than to search for their contributions or other public comments they may have made on Google.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Get a consultation and look at the walls and stuff sitting around. My lawyer has a framed invitation to the inauguration, a picture, the books. He's a good guy too. When I went a couple weeks ago he told me that the Obama's were going to the Jarrett daughter wedding that weekend....and yes, they did.

That's so true, jaxx! I had a meeting this morning with a client and her attorney at his office. In the front window of his office, he had a Jay Inslee for Governor sign (he's the D running in Washington state this year). I had to smile to myself.

And I've been in other attorney's offices that were also pretty straightforward about their political leanings.

There are a few who aren't, though. Someone in my office discovered an attorney's website (worker's comp attorney) who had two animated video's on there that were so nasty toward vocational rehabilitation counselors (that's what I am). One of them featured an animated Sarah Palin on the animated David Letterman's show, doing a Top Ten List on things VRC's say. Those things were either taken out of context or flat out lies. On both videos, VRC's were referred to as "Silent Assassins." WTF??? I knew right away this guy had to be a Tea Bagger.

Oh, and he got so many complaints from VRC's that he took the videos down.

Watch out for hunting trophies! I was in an office such as that and the guy was a second amendment nut quite annoyed at the Obama Administration (still hasn't taken his guns, but that doesn't stop them).

I believe that's one thing I haven't seen - hunting trophies! I have seen a few pictures of the attorney's holding fish they caught though.

Most solo practitioners or small firm lawyers are. Tort lawyers or ambulance chasers almost always are. Including those who do social security disability or worker's comp (for the claimant).

RE: How to find a Democratic lawyer?
How about asking down at the local Democratic HQ or at the local Obama/2012 HQ. I bet you'd get lots of referrals there!
